THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 4, 8,
9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 20 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1], orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order”
means the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Jersey) Order 2003[2].
2 Article
21 amended
In Article 21(1)(c) of the principal Order all of the words
following the words “basic training course” shall be deleted.
3 Article
24 amended
In Article 24(4)(e) of the principal Order all of the words
following the words “basic training course” shall be deleted.
4 Schedule
3 amended
In Schedule 3 to the principal Order for the entries in the
table in respect of the prescribed test there shall be substituted the
following entries –

5 Schedule
6 amended
(1) In
Part 1 of Schedule 6 to the principal Order, in the form of
compulsory basic training certificate, the words “VALID FOR 3 YEARS
FROM DATE OF COURSE COMPLETION” shall be deleted.
(2) A
compulsory basic training certificate given before this Order came into force
shall be read as if the words “VALID FOR 3 YEARS FROM DATE OF COURSE
COMPLETION” were deleted.
6 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences)
(Amendment No. 11) (Jersey) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 1st
January 2009.
