THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 77 and
84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1], orders as follows –
1 Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use)
(Jersey) Order 1998 amended
For Article 2(7) of the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use)
(Jersey) Order 1998[2] there shall be substituted
the following paragraph –
“(7) For the purposes of
Article 78(3) of the Law, the fee to accompany an application for a
licence authorizing the use of a vehicle not complying with Orders under
Article 77 of the Law shall be –
(a) if the application is for a licence for the
use of the vehicle on a specified journey or for a specified purpose or for a
period of not more than 12 months, £78.25;
(b) if the application is for a licence for the
use of the vehicle in any other case, £140.15;
(c) if the application is a second or subsequent
application (after an earlier application under Article 78 of the Law was
refused within the period of 30 days before the second or subsequent application
is made) and both or all the applications are for a licence for the use of the
vehicle as referred to in sub-paragraph (b), £70.05.”.
2 Revocation
The Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment No. 10)
(Jersey) Order 2007[3] is revoked.
3 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Construction and Use)
(Amendment No. 11) (Jersey) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 1st
January 2009.
