Union (Law and Regulations Related to United Kingdom Exit) (Commencement No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2020

THE MINISTER FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS makes this Order under Article 11(2)
of the European Union (Repeal and Amendment) (Jersey) Law 2018[1], Regulation 6 of the European Union (Financial Services –
Miscellaneous Amendments) (Jersey) Regulations 2019[2], Regulation 4 of the European Union (United Kingdom Exit –
Alternative Investment Funds) (Jersey) Regulations 2019[3] and Regulation 3 of the European Union (Wines, Spirits, Milk and
Dairies – Savings) (Jersey) Regulations 2019[4], and with the approval of the Council of Ministers –
1 Commencement of Articles 2 and 3 of European Union (Repeal and
Amendment) (Jersey) Law 2018: repeal of European Union (Jersey) Law 1973
and European Economic Area (Jersey) Law 1995
The remaining provisions,
not previously brought into force, of the European Union (Repeal and Amendment)
(Jersey) Law 2018[5] come into force at 11 p.m.
on 31st December 2020.
2 Commencement of certain Regulations related to United Kingdom ceasing to be
a member State of the European Union
The
following Regulations come into force at 11 p.m. on 31st December 2020 –
(a) Regulations 2, 3, 5 and 6
of the European Union (Financial Services – Miscellaneous Amendments) (Jersey)
Regulations 2019[6];
(b) the European Union
(United Kingdom Exit – Alternative Investment Funds) (Jersey) Regulations 2019[7];
(c) Regulations 2 and 3 of the
European Union (Wines, Spirits, Milk and Dairies – Savings) (Jersey)
Regulations 2019[8].

This Order may be cited as
the European Union (Law and Regulations Related to United Kingdom Exit)
(Commencement No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2020.
