Parish of St.
Lawrence (Division of Vingtaine) (Jersey) Law 1965
A LAW to provide for the division of
the “Vingtaine de la Vallée” in the parish of St. Lawrence
into 2 separate Vingtaines

The “Vingtaine de La Vallée” in the parish of St.
Lawrence shall be divided into 2 separate Vingtaines to be known as the “Vingtaine
du Haut de La Vallée” and the “Vingtaine du Bas de La
Vallée”.

(1) The “Vingtaine du
Haut de La Vallée” shall comprise that part of the
“Vingtaine de La Vallée” to the north and east of St.
Aubin’s Road, Rue de Haut, La Ruelle Corbel and St. Peter’s Valley.
(2) The “Vingtaine du
Bas de La Vallée” shall comprise that part of the “Vingtaine
de La Vallée” to the south and west of the roads mentioned in paragraph (1),
and those roads shall be deemed to be in the “Vingtaine du Bas de La
Vallée”.

(1) A Vingtenier and 2
Roads Inspectors shall be elected for each new Vingtaine in manner prescribed
by law.
(2) A Vingtenier or Roads
Inspector elected in pursuance of paragraph (1) shall –
(a) hold
office for the same period of time;
(b) have
the same rights and perform the same duties,
as any other Vingtenier or Roads Inspector.

Vingtaine) (Jersey) Law 1965.
