MISUSE OF DRUGS (MODIFICATION) (JERSEY) ORDER, 1980.

THE PUBLIC HEALTH COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 3 and 25 of the Misuse of Drugs (Jersey) Law, 1978,1 (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”) and after consultation with the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, hereby orders as follows –

1.             In the Second Schedule to the Law2

(a)    in sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph 1 of Part I after the item “Phenazocine” there shall be inserted the item “Phencyclidine”;

(b)    in Part III for paragraph 5 there shall be substituted the following paragraph –

“5.        Any 5, 5 disubstituted barbituric acid; its salts, and any preparation or product containing the acid or its salts.”.

2.             This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Modification) (Jersey) Order, 1980 and shall come into force on the first day of May, 1980.
