MOTOR VEHICLES (INTERNATIONAL CIRCULATION) (AMENDMENT No. 9) (JERSEY) REGULATIONS, 1989.

THE STATES, in pursuance of Article 1 of the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Jersey) Law, 1953,1 have made the following Regulations

1.             Regulation 1 of the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Jersey) Regulations, 1958, as amended,2 shall be amended as follows –

(a)     in paragraph (6), by deleting the words “tests of the competency of applicants for driving permits and”; and

(b)     by inserting after paragraph (6) the following paragraph –

“(7)      The Defence Committee may delegate any of its functions under this Regulation (including any power of charging fees and the carrying out of examinations) to any body concerned with motor vehicles.”.

2.             These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (International Circulation) (Amendment No. 9) (Jersey) Regulations, 1989 and shall come into force on the first day of July, 1989.
