(Workplace Restrictions and Gathering Control (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Order 2021

THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES makes this Order under
Regulations 2 and 3 of the Covid-19 (Workplace Restrictions) (Jersey)
Regulations 2020[1], after complying with the consultation requirements set out in
Regulation 2(1) and (2) of those Regulations and under Regulation 2 of the
Covid-19 (Gatherings) (Jersey) Regulations 2020[2], after complying with the consultation requirements in Regulation 2(3)
of those Regulations –
1 Covid-19 (Workplace Restrictions) (Jersey) Order 2020 amended
Article 2 (closure of
certain workplaces) and Article 3(4) (Article 3 not to apply to a
workplace to extent opening is prohibited by Article 2) of the Covid‑19
(Workplace Restrictions) (Jersey) Order 2020[3] are deleted.
2 Covid-19 (Gathering
Control) (Jersey) Order 2020 amended
In the Covid-19
(Gathering Control) (Jersey) Order 2020[4] –
(a) in Article 1, in the
definition “open air” for “no more than one side” there is substituted “no more
than half of its sides”;
(b) for Article 3(3)
there is substituted –
“(3) Paragraph (1)
does not apply to a gathering in the associated garden, yard or other outdoor
space (whether or not using a marquee or other temporary structure) of –
(a) no more than
50 people of 5 years of age or older for the celebration of a
marriage or civil partnership, or for a reception or other event commonly
associated with that celebration; or
(b) any number of people if
the garden, yard or other outdoor space has been hired out or booked for hire
for use by any person other than the owner or the owner’s family on at least
one occasion before 10th May 2021.”
3 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Covid-19 (Workplace Restrictions and
Gathering Control (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Order 2021 and comes into
force on 10th May 2021.
