THE STATES, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by paragraph (2) of Article 36 of the Adoption (Jersey) Law, 1961,1 have made the following Act :  -

1.             The Adoption (Jersey) Law, 1961,2 shall come into force on the first day of March, 1962.

2.             This Act may be cited as the Adoption (Jersey) Law, 1961 (Commencement) Act, 1962.
