Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 36) (Jersey) Order 2021

1        Interpretation

This Order amends the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996[2].

2        Article 32 (fees for permit) amended

In Article 32(1) –

(a)     in sub-paragraph (a)(i) for “£293” there is substituted “£326.81”;

(b)     in sub-paragraph (a)(ii) for “£146” there is substituted “£162.37”;

(c)     in sub-paragraph (b) for “£219” there is substituted “£242.80”.

3        Schedule 1 (one-way traffic) amended

In Schedule 1 –

(a)     in Part 1, after the item “Great Union Street” and its entry there is inserted –

 

(b)     in Part 2, the item “Green Street” and its entry are deleted;

(c)     in Part 3 before the item and entry relating to King Street there is inserted –

4        Schedule 4 (prohibition of waiting) amended

In Schedule 4 –

(a)     in the item “Colomberie” after its last entry there is inserted –

 

(b)     in the item “Commercial Buildings” after its last entry there is inserted –

 

(c)     in the item “Conway Street” after its last entry there is inserted –

 

(d)     after the item “Dorset Street” and its entries there is inserted –

 

(e)     in the item “Halkett Place”, in the entry beginning “East side (between Hilgrove Street and” there is inserted after those words “a point 6 yards north of”;

(f)      in the item “Hastings Road”, for the entry beginning “North side (between Roseville Street” there is substituted –

 

(g)     in the item “Richmond Road”, in the entry that begins “South and east sides”, for “22 yards west and south” there is substituted “99 yards west and then south”;

(h)     in the item “Roseville Street”, the first entry beginning “East side (between Colomberie” is deleted and before the remaining entries there is inserted –

 

(i)      in the item “St. Aubin’s Road”, the last 3 entries after the entry beginning “South side (between Esplanade” are deleted and there is inserted –

5        Schedule 8 (parking places on roads) amended

In Schedule 8 –

(a)     in Part 1, in the item “Colomberie”, for “24” in its entry there is substituted “28”;

(b)     in Part 1, in the item “Minden Place” for its entry there is substituted –

 

(c)     in Part 1, after the item “Pier Road” and its entry there is inserted –

 

(d)     in part 1C in the item “Beresford Street” –

(i)      the first entry is deleted,

(ii)      in the second entry for “22” there is substituted “47”;

(e)     in Part 2, in the item “Burrard Street” for its entry there is substituted –

 

(f)      in Part 2, in the item “Commercial Buildings”, the last entry that begins “East side (between a point 272 yards” is deleted;

(g)     in Part 2, the item “Conway Street” and its entry are deleted;

(h)     in Part 2, the item “Esplanade” and its entries are deleted;

(i)      in Part 2, in the item “Gloucester Street”, after “No. 15” in its first entry there is inserted “and a point 5 yards east”;

(j)      in Part 2, in the item “Roseville Street”, its entry is deleted and there is inserted –

 

(k)     in Part 2, in the item “St. Aubin’s Road”, the last 2 entries after the entry starting “South side (between the eastern boundary of “Watkins Villa” are deleted and there is inserted –

 

(l)      in Part 3, after the item “Great Union Road” and its entry there is inserted –

 

(m)    in Part 4, the item “Hastings Road” and its entry are deleted;

(n)     in Part 6 after the item “Le Clos Vaze” and its entry there is inserted –

 

(o)     in Part 6, in the item “Richmond Road”, for its entry there is substituted –

 

(p)     in Part 6, the item “Roussel Mews” and its entry are deleted;

(q)     in Part 13, the item “Mount Bingham (link road to the Territorial Army Centre (south western arm))” and its entry are deleted;

(r)      in Part 15 before the item “Halkett Place” and its entry there is inserted –

6        Schedule 9 (St. Helier residential and business parking zones) amended

In Part 2, in the item “Richmond Road” for its first entry there is substituted –

7        Schedule 10 (parking of vehicles on roads for loading and unloading) amended

In Part 1 –

(a)     in the item “Beresford Street”, in the entry starting “South side (between a point 49 yards” for “44” there is substituted “62”;

(b)     in the item “Halkett Place”, in its entry after “Beresford Street and” there is inserted “a point 14 yards north of”;

(c)     after the item “Kensington Place” and its entries there is inserted –

 

(d)     in the item “Minden Place”, in its entry beginning “South side” for “33” there is substituted “63”.

8        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 36) (Jersey) Order 2021 and comes into force 7 days after the day it is made.
