ROAD TRAFFIC (SAINT HELIER) (AMENDMENT No. 9) (JERSEY) ORDER 2001

THE PUBLIC SERVICES
COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 33 and 42 of
the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended, and after consultation with the Connétable of Saint Helier,
orders as follows -
Interpretation
1. In
this Order “principal Order” means the Road Traffic (Saint Helier)
Order 1996, as amended.
Amendment of provisions
with respect to one-way traffic routes
2. In
Part I of the First Schedule to the principal Order -
(a) for the item and entry
relating to Albert Street there shall be substituted the following item and
entry -
|
“Albert Street
|
Clearview Street to Great Union Road”;
|
(b) for the item and entry
relating to Columbus Street there shall be substituted the following items and
entries -
|
“Columbus Street
(between Brighton Road and Albert Street)
|
Brighton Road to Albert Street
|
|
Columbus Street (between
Albert Street and Dorset Street)
|
Dorset Street to Albert Street”; and
|
(c) after the item and
entry relating to Francis Street there shall be inserted the following item and
entry -
|
“Garden Lane (between
Windsor Road and Dorset Street)
|
Windsor Road to Dorset Street”.

Amendment of provisions
with respect to prohibition of waiting
3. In
the Fourth Schedule to the principal Order -
(a) for the entries
relating to Albert Street there shall be substituted the following entries -

“North side (between Great Union Road and a point 2 yards
West of the Eastern boundary of No. 6)
|
|
North side (between a point 15 yards West of the Western boundary
of ‘Britannia’ and Columbus Street
|
|
North side (between Columbus Street and Clearview Street)

|

Amendment of provisions
with respect to use of roads by vehicles exceeding 6 feet 6 inches in width
4. In
Part IV of the Seventh Schedule to the principal Order after the item and entry
relating to La Route du Petit Clos there shall be inserted the following item
and entry -
|
“La Rue du Moulin de
Flicquet
|
The entire road”.

Amendment of provisions
with respect to parking places on roads
5. In
the Eighth Schedule to the principal Order -
(a) in Part II for the
entry relating to Weighbridge Place there shall be substituted the following
entry -
|
“North side (between Wharf Street and a point 34 yards
West)”; and
|
(b) in Part III -
(i) for the entries
relating to Albert Street there shall be substituted the following entries -
|
“North side (between a point 2 yards West of the Eastern
boundary of No. 6 and a point 11 yards further East)
|
|
South side (between a point 10 yards East of the Western boundary
of ‘Franchard’ and a point 6 yards further East)
|
|
South side (between a point 3 yards West of the Western boundary
of No. 12 and the Eastern boundary of that property)
|
|
South side (between a point 4 yards West of the Western boundary
of No. 16 and a point 11 yards further East)”,
|
(ii) for the first entry
relating to Clearview Street there shall be substituted the following entry -

(iii) for the entry relating to
Dorset Street there shall be substituted the following entries -

Amendment of provisions
with respect to parking of motor cycles and mopeds
6. In
the Eleventh Schedule to the principal Order after the item and entry relating
to Broad Street there shall be inserted the following item and entry -
|
“Columbus Street
|
West side (between a point 12 yards North of the Southern boundary
of No. 15½ Dorset Street and Dorset Street”.
|
Citation and commencement
7. This
Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Saint Helier) (Amendment No. 9)
(Jersey) Order 2001 and shall come into force on the twenty-fifth day of June
2001.
